Get Ready for Halloween

Hallo Friends,

Yes, we're rapidly coming up to this time of year!  My youngest starts her junior year of High School on August 6th (she's had school all summer long and is sick of it already).  I'm waiting with anticipation for the monsoon to move on and bring some lovely fall temperatures 20 to 30 degree less than they are now (which really won't happen until November, but I can dream).

I've been really busy lately with family errands and I'm hoping to get my banners out to all my wonderful blog friends in the next week or so.  I' going through my messy craft area right now, looking for lovelies to send along with each package.

In the mean time, here's some goodies to get you all in the mood!

Have a wonderful weekend,

My reward for being a good girl

Howdy All,

Yes, I've been a pretty good girl lately, well it's hard to get in trouble when your recovering....right?  I'm getting better every day, but you better believe I wish I could send some of our monsoon wetness to you folks in the mid-west.

Well, I've got most of my "friendship" swap banners done and ready to send out.  I made them a little more labor intensive than I expected, but hopefully you ladies that I'm trading with will enjoy them....and yes, you can play with them!

There's a short history of "ImagiMeri's Creations" on the back, as well.

This next little dachshund is headed over to my friend Lynn Spencer of "life on the weinee ranch."  She asked me quite some time ago, and I reworked him three different times after I got off my medication because he didn't look right to me.  I think he's awful cute now, and she just loves red, white and blue.  Check her blog out in a few days to see if she posts about him/her.

Here we are to some of my goodies.....from my best ever husband!  He got me this while I was still detoxing, and I wasn't able to use it until recently when I made my banners.  It's a Silhouette Cameo cutting system.....OMGosh it's soooo coool and easy to use.

He even got me the design studio version so that I can design my own goodies to cut out.

I used it to cut out my banners, my inserts, little shapes for decoration, and I even cut out all of Sandy's banners (521 Lakestreet) as she wanted to see it in action and hasn't hooked hers up yet.

Folks, I tell ya, this machine is amazing and made this project so much easier.  I also got these adorable little Lefton "sweet miss" wall almost mint condition, too!

Don't they just look perfect with this collection......gosh I love this stuff.

Well that's it for now folks, take care and don't let the weather get to you.

Change in plans

Howdy Folks,

Well, I had planned to post about my goodies I got and show my swap banner, but now that dear hubby is computer isn't.  Since we moved my computer command center to a different location in the house, I've been having all kinds of issues with connectivity and not being fully set up.  I know a lot about computers, but I choose to be lazy and have my husband fix everything.  He's so awfully good with this stuff, but now that he's working, I have to wait till he's available.  So I hope to post about my stuff next week.  Until then, here's some more goodies for all of you.......I know you love em!

Again, there might be a couple of repeats, but there's more new ones than old. I'm also happy to find items for you in my collection of over three terabytes of storage.  Let me know if you need something specific, and I'll send you what I have.  Have fun, and I'd love to see what you do with these if you ever want to share.

It's hot here, so here's some cool goodies!

Howdy from the hot west!

Yep, we're supposed to be between 113-120 degrees this week.  I know they say it's extreme, but hey, we're used to it out here!  I'll let you in on a secret, a crazy secret; we've signed up for a special power plan out here where we get charged .31 per kilowatt from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday through Friday), and only .07 per kilowatt for weekends and all other times.  My real secret is; I don't use air conditioning between 3-6 (the three hottest hours of the day) and with our extra insulation it only gets to 82 degrees in the house for those three hours.  This plan saves us over a thousand dollars a year on cooling costs.  We also have a big freezer in the garage and it's on a timer to be shut off for those three hours......saves lot's of money!

Now don't go thinkin' there's no sufferin' cause there's plenty.  I have a medical condition which keeps my body temperature higher than regular folks, so I'm always sweating (I know you could have done without that bit of info).  However, this is when I turn on two fans in my bedroom, lay down and take a nap.  If I'm not doin' anything, then I don't sweat as much!  I think it's pretty thrifty of me.......hey, you gotta' do some extreme things when your husband is out of work.  Thank goodness, he now has a new job, which is contract to hire with........drum roll please...........PAYPAL!!!!!  I know, is that great or what?

I'm so proud of him.

Okay, nuff about us, here's some more goodies.  A couple are repeats, but most are new.  Next week I'll show you the fun stuff my dear hubby got me as a reward for my recent battle/withdrawal, and I'll show you the Blog Banner's I've made to swap with wonderful friends.

Have a great week, wherever you are, and please take care in extreme heat or flooding.
