Halloween swap goodies

Hellooo all!

Just thought I'd stop in and let you all see the goodies I got this year from my good friend Lynn Stevens of "Trash to Treasure art."  Lynn and I have been swapping goodies on and off for almost 7 years now and I have to tell you..........she's amazingly generous!  Look at all this Halloween fun!

2 charms she made plus various goodies to create with.

Look at this charming tag

Isn't this the cutest little shrine?

She made me three lovely pieces to hang on my wall, too.

I don't know about you all, but I surely do treasure the many friends I've made through blogging and now through FaceBook, which is where I'm spending most of my time right now.

I wish you all the happiest of Halloweens, and may you all revel in the day when little kiddies wearing costumes come begging for candy.

Too Much going on, but boy it's exciting!

July is the last time I, have I been busy.  As a lot of you already know, I became a grandma for the first time on September 6th and have been in love ever since.  For those of you who don't follow me on FaceBook or Instagram (which is where I've been spending most of my time lately) here are some pictures of my brand new grandson........Maxwell Fox Jones:

Approximately 3 hours after birth
Great Grandma Dorie is holding him.
New mommy look adoringly at her
new son.
Happy new family
Wearing a new outfit I got him.
Happy boy after having his diaper changed
New grandma (ME) getting in a bunch of
hugs and kisses today.

I also got to change his diaper so that his
mommy knows I remember how.
Livin' the good life
I've also been a very busy artist with a lot going on and hopefully more to come.  My name was turned in at the recent "Art Unraveled" event here in August, as a possible teacher for next year.  I had two weeks to come up with an idea for a class, create the projects, write about it and write up a class lesson.  These are the dolls I came up with and now I'm just waiting to hear if I've been selected.

This is my steampunk version
This is my two-sided, native Indian
doll with Hopi Indian on one side.
and Navajo Indian on the other side.
This is my Mermaid doll
I've also been very busy creating sculpts for Comi-Con next May, as it seems that I shall be vending there in one way or another.  I'll either have my own booth, or be sharing one with another vendor who has graciously offered space to me.  I don't have any completed images of the work in process right now, but they will be coming soon.

I still plan to switch everything over to my own website, but that's kind of taken a back seat as I'm creating daily and kind of in a mad rush to get my sculpts done.  They are very labor intensive, but once you see them, you'll understand why it's taken me so long.

I'll try to be back soon, but thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget, I post every week on FaceBook, so if you're looking for what I'm up to...........check me out there.
